Vacancy Description

Are you looking for rewarding employment?  Do you want to make a difference to people's lives?

The role:

We’re recruiting for Auxiliary Bank Support Assistants to work flexibly across our Supported Housing & Care services for adults with learning and physical disabilities and/or mental health needs.

The main purpose of these roles is to provide essential support to our busy frontline teams of Support Assistants and Qualified Nurses; specifically, you’ll be undertaking non-care related duties, such as household tasks, shopping and assisting the people we support with social and community-based activities.

We currently have opportunities for Auxiliary Bank Support Assistants within our registered care, supported living and community support services in the following areas of Essex:

  • Billericay/Basildon/Pitsea, Benfleet, Canvey Island, Leigh-on-Sea, Maldon, Rochford, Shoeburyness, Southend-on-Sea, South Ockendon and Wickford.

What we can offer you:

  • A varied, rewarding and interesting workplace;
  • Work patterns that fit around your own commitments - for example, we can accommodate term-time or holiday-only shift patterns;
  • Many of our services are 24-hour, so there are various shift patterns available, including lates/earlies/weekends/nights;
  • Free mandatory and specialist training, workplace mentoring and support;
  • Competitive salary and benefits.

The type of candidate we're looking for:

If you can demonstrate a commitment and passion for working with people and you have an interest and/or previous experience of working in the social care sector, we would welcome your application. Please note that you will need to choose your preferred shift pattern and location when applying for this post.

So do you think this is for you? Are you ready for the challenge? Well if you are, we would love you to apply for this post.

This advertisement is part of an ongoing recruitment campaign within Estuary Housing Association’s Care & Support team.  The vacancy will remain open until all posts have been filled; however, applications will be reviewed and shortlisted on a regular basis as we are seeking to fill these roles urgently.
