Vacancy Description

The Role:

We are seeking Bank Nursery Assistants to join Estuary’s busy, friendly Nursery team based at Centre Place Family Centre in Southend-on-Sea. This role will involve working as and when required on various shifts in order to provide cover for staff holidays and to help during busy periods within the Nursery.


The successful candidates must hold either a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare and ideally a Paediatric First Aid certificate.   You must also possess strong communication skills, an understanding of child development and children’s needs, with an ability to help plan and implement age/stage appropriate activities.

The successful applicants should also demonstrate an understanding of EYFS, equality & diversity and safeguarding requirements within a childcare setting.
